Bio

Quitterie de Labbey is a teaching assistant and a PhD student at the Department of Political Science of the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB). She graduated in 2018 from Sciences Po Lille and the Westfälische Wilhems-Universität Münster, where she holds M.A. degrees in ‘Intelligence, strategy and risk-management’ and ‘International and European governance’.

Prior to joining the ULB, Quitterie de Labbey was affiliated to the Flemish Peace Institute (Brussels) where she researched arms trafficking, diversion and gun violence as part of two research projects funded by the Internal Security Fund of the European Commission (Project DIVERT and Project TARGET).

Quitterie de Labbey was affiliated previously to the Stockholm International Research Institute (SIPRI), the Group of Research and Information on Peace and Security (GRIP), and the German Federal Ministry of Defence.

Présentation des recherches

Quitterie de Labbey's research focuses on the emergence of the European Peace Facility within the European Union's security and defence fields. By analysing discourses and practices, she examines how tensions and struggles within these fields have shaped the emergence of the European Peace Facility.
